Video Production
Product Promo Videos
A promo video has one job: make somebody who was scrolling stop, and want the thing. We build short, high-energy product films around a single hook — the moment your product is most obviously worth having — then cut them into the ratios and lengths your placements actually need.
- Founders whose product is good but whose feed presence is screenshots and text posts
- E-commerce and SaaS teams who need paid-social creative that doesn't look like a stock template
- Marketing leads running the same campaign across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube with one asset that fits none of them
- Teams with a finished explainer who now need ten short pieces to keep a posting cadence alive

Nobody chose to watch your promo
An explainer is watched by someone who already clicked. A promo is not — it appears between a friend's photo and a news clip, muted, on a phone, while the thumb is already moving. That changes the entire construction. There is no room for a logo sting, no room for a slow establishing shot, and no room for a voiceover to warm up, because the decision to keep watching is made before any of that finishes. Most promos fail for the same reason: they are structured like a small film, with a beginning that earns a middle. The version that works is inverted — it opens on the single most interesting frame in the whole piece, then spends the remaining seconds justifying it. Getting that right is an editorial decision made before anything is animated, not a trim applied at the end.
What's included.
Every product promo videos engagement covers all four of these — they are the work, not upsells.
A hook chosen before a frame is cut
We start by arguing about the first two seconds. Given your product, the placement, and who's watching, we pick the single opening image most likely to interrupt a scroll — a result, a transformation, a specific screen, a physical detail — and write the rest of the promo backwards from it. You get that recommendation in writing with the reasoning, so the hook is something you approved rather than something you discovered in the first draft.
An edit that works with the sound off
The default state of a feed is muted, so the promo is built silent-first: on-screen type carries the argument, cuts carry the rhythm, and burned-in captions are part of the design rather than a compliance layer added at the end. Music and sound design are then mixed for the minority who unmute, and delivered with a music-and-effects stem so the piece can be re-voiced later without a re-edit.
Real ratios, properly reframed
A 16:9 master centre-cropped to 9:16 loses half its composition and usually its captions. We reframe instead: shots are re-blocked for each ratio, type is re-laid out inside the correct safe area, and UI is re-scaled so it stays legible on a phone. You receive 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, and 4:5 versions that each look composed for that shape, which is what makes the same production usable across every placement you buy.
Length variants for the funnel, not just the platform
A 6-second bumper, a 15-second feed cut, and a 30-second landing-page version do different jobs: interrupt, explain, convince. Because they come out of one production and one asset set, cutting all three costs a fraction of commissioning them separately later — and they stay visually consistent, so a viewer who sees the short version and then the long one recognises the same campaign rather than two unrelated ads.

How it gets made.
The sequence for this service specifically. How we work, in detail.
- 01
Hook shortlist
We look at the product, the placement, and the competing creative in your category, then send you three candidate opening seconds with a recommendation. Everything downstream is built from the one you pick.
- 02
Beat sheet, not a screenplay
A promo is written as timed beats — what is on screen at 0:00, 0:02, 0:05 — because at this length pacing is the script. You approve the beat sheet and the on-screen copy together.
- 03
Styleframes and asset capture
Product footage, screen recordings, or renders are captured and one styleframe per look is sent for sign-off. This is the last inexpensive moment to change the visual direction.
- 04
Cut, grade, sound
The master is assembled: motion, grade, licensed music, sound design, and captions laid into the composition. You review a watermarked draft within the revision rounds your package includes.
- 05
Reframe and variant delivery
Every ratio and length variant is reframed and exported together, with caption files, poster frames, the M&E stem, and the editable project — so nothing needs chasing after sign-off.

The Reel Only package is the cheapest entry point at $100 for ten promotional reels under 20 seconds each, with a 5-day turnaround — it suits teams who already have a hero asset and just need volume. Solo Launch at $300 adds an intro, a walkthrough, and a tutorial alongside the reels. Growth Bundle adds modular paid-social variations for teams testing creative rather than posting it.

Product Promo Videos questions.
For paid social and feed placements, 6 to 15 seconds. For a landing page or a YouTube pre-roll where the viewer has more intent, 30 seconds. A 60-second promo is really a short explainer and should be commissioned as one. The most common mistake is producing a single 45-second piece and running it everywhere, where it is too long to survive a feed and too vague to convince someone already on your site — which is why we cut the lengths together from one production.
A promo makes someone want the product; an explainer makes them understand it. Promos are built for people who did not ask to watch, so they open on the most striking moment and stay short. Explainers are watched by people who already clicked, so they can afford to walk through a workflow at a realistic pace. Most teams need both, and they are usually the same footage and design system cut two different ways, which is why buying them in one package is cheaper than commissioning them apart.
Either works. For software, a demo login is ideal because it lets us capture the real interface at its real speed; clean screen recordings at 1080p or higher are almost as good. For physical products, we can work from your existing photography and video, or build the piece as 2D/3D motion where footage does not exist. What does not work is compressed screenshots pulled out of a slide deck — they cannot be re-timed or reframed without falling apart.
Yes, and they are reframed rather than cropped. Shots are re-blocked for the 9:16 shape, on-screen type is re-laid out inside the vertical safe area, and any UI is re-scaled so it is still readable on a phone. You get 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, and 4:5 from the same production. A centre crop of a landscape master is the thing that makes agency work look recycled, and it usually cuts the captions in half.
Enough to test more than one idea. A single promo tells you whether that specific execution worked, not whether the message did. Media buyers generally want several distinct hooks running against the same offer so the winner is identifiable. That is what the Reel Only pack at $100 for ten reels and the modular ad variations in the Growth Bundle are for — volume built from one asset set rather than ten separate productions.
The Reel Only package delivers ten reels in 5 days. Larger fixed-price kits run 3 to 14 days depending on the tier, because the clock covers every asset in the kit rather than one file. A custom one-off project outside the package ladder runs 7 to 10 days. On the monthly retainer, individual requests — a new cutdown, a fresh hook, an extra ratio — average about 48 hours, handled one at a time from your queue.
Yes. On final payment, ownership of the finished videos and the editable source files transfers to you, with no usage window, territory limit, or separate buy-out. Every music track, sound effect, and font in the edit is commercially licensed before it is used, and you receive a written asset list with the delivery so you can prove clearance if a platform asks.
